Stafylos area
Lying between Skopelos town (the hub of the island) and Stafylos beach, in a length of about 4 kilometers from North to South, the area of Stafylos consists of wooded hillsides, flat olive groves and scattered accommodations among them; in addition there are a few taverns, a super market and a gasoline station. The cool valley spreads to the left and right side of the main road that skirts the island with organized public transport and enough bus-stops to facilitate your stay. Being surrounded by pine forests with some rugged trails winding up into in the woods, the area offers some marvelous opportunities for walkers.
Holiday accommodations in the area of Stafylos are suitable for those who would like to be in a quiet location in the countryside, close to the beaches and not too far from Skopelos Town, which is easily reached by local buses, taxi, bicycles or on foot. The closest beaches are Stafylos and Velanio, on the same coast line separated by a small headland.
