The second, internal bay of Panormos area is called “Blo”. This scenic cove is known for its calm and unwrinkled sea, and swimming here gives a lake-feel. Being protected from all the winds and having a good depth, it becomes the ideal shelter for yachts and sailing boats.
Sailors and yacht owners should mind their anchors though, when a sudden gust or squall of North-West wind appears; the very smooth and hard bottom may not be stable enough to hold the anchor in place.
