Beautiful town house, very clean and extremely well equipped and we felt at home instantly. Location excellent, very quiet yet only a few minutes walk down steps to bakery, shops and harbour where we enjoyed sitting and people watching. The roof terrace was amazing, great views of the harbour and perfect for enjoying a chilled glass of wine. Lots of excellent restaurants nearby. A fabulous week, highly recommended.

Your town house in Skopelos is a treasure

Your town house in Skopelos is a treasure, lots of thought has gone into the layout and it lacked nothing; it really did exceed my expectations.

Exceptional house and location

This townhouse was perfect. The bedroom was very quiet, comfy mattress and aircon welcome. Very nice modern shower room and separate WC. The living space was really comfortable with two sofas and large french windows allowing it to be flooded with light. Kitchen really well equipped. Fantastic roof top terrace for eating out and sunbathing. The owners clearly take great pride in the property and as they stay there regularly it is in first class condition as repairs are spotted and dealt with. The location was very good. It was an easy walk up along some of the nicest shopping streets from the harbour with steps only on the last short stretch. As the house is on steps there was no noise from scooters passing immediately in front. The neighbours would sit outside and chatter away in greek which added real charm. The swifts flew all around the roof top terrace and was pretty much the only sound you would hear. We spent long leisurely mornings and evenings in the house and explored the island during the day. There is no parking outside the house but this is not an issue as we parked down at the harbour and broke the short walk back with a cold beer. There were all the necessary local shops to get daily provisions and many restaurants close by. I would strongly recommend this property to any couple who want a comfortable stay in a convenient location which retains an authentic Greek feel alongside the tourist facilities.

Amazing

Rosie’s House is everything you could possibly want in your perfect holiday property. This house is really home from home. I guarantee you will not want to leave. Rosie has created a work of art in welcoming home comfort and nothing has been left out, I say Rosie must be beautiful inside and out just like her property. The roof terrace is amazing and my husband and I left our hearts up there and shall be returning to re-claim them. I really could go on forever writing about Rosie’s house so I say to you all who read this experience it yourself no words could ever do it justice.

Little Gem

We were met off the ferry and accompanied on a pleasant 10 minute walk to Rosie’s House. This house is the perfect place for anyone wanting to experience living in the local Skopelian community. It is beautifully decorated with a cosy bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor, we had seven peaceful nights sleep! Everything is absolutely spotless, has a homely touch throughout and topped by a lovely roof sun terrace to enjoy the surrounding views, watch the boats coming and going and the perfect place to watch the sun setting. Right in the heart of the local community, we loved opening the living room shutter doors to the sound of church bells and the chatter of the locals across the balconies, what a joy. A few minutes pleasant stroll will take you past various pretty shops and restaurants and on to the harbour front with an even greater selection of wonderful cafes, bars and restaurants where you can sit, enjoy and watch the world go by. We adore this island and its friendly welcoming people. We hired a car so we could explore the fabulous beaches, it was no problem parking in the large car park on the harbour front and we always had a good excuse after a hard day on the beach to stop off for a refreshing frappe before strolling ‘home’. We would highly recommend Rosie’s House to fellow travellers!

Lovely

It has been a great pleasure to spend one week in this lovely house. The house is very well equipped (more than expected) with good furniture and very clean. The location is perfect, you are down town, this means that in 5 minutes walking you can go to the port, reach restaurants, bars… It is very quite for a nice rest and with a terrace where you could enjoy the dinner with a nice landscape. But very very important is that you immediately feel at home.

Brilliant location

The house is perfectly situated just off the main tourist streets so that it feels part of the authentic town but is still very central and not too far up the hill ! Restaurants, supermarkets, flower shop, baker etc are all a stone’s throw away and yet the house is on a quiet side street and that feels special. We would greet the locals sitting outside the neighbouring houses having a late afternoon chat as the day cooled down. Decorated in a simple and stylish way it none the less feels cosy and has everything you could need for a stay away from home. Having breakfast on the roof terrace in the morning and watching the stars at night was a treat. I would recommend this house to anyone.

A perfect house in a perfect place

A beautifully restored village house. We loved sleeping under the chestnut timbers, opening the living room shutters to the sounds of the street in the mornings and climbing up to the roof terrace to enjoy the fantastic views of the harbour at any time of day. It was great to stay at the heart of the town but to be free from traffic noise. The streets are used today as they have probably always have been, for people to chat, children to play and for the odd furniture renovation job. The town with all its churches is a joy to explore. The harbour is only a few minutes stroll away and there are so many lovely restaurants in walking distance. The “where to eat” recommendations were very useful. We loved climbing up to Anatoli’s on our last night – a very friendly restaurant in a fantastic setting with some rembetika music thrown in. We also loved Agnanti’s in Glossa – well worth the effort of getting there. Travel tip: Book the ferry not the flying cat. The views of Skopelos harbour as you sail in are not to be missed.

Rosie’s House, Skopelos

From the moment we stepped off the ferry, we were greeted by Yvonne, who led us through the winding streets to Rosie’s House, pointing out restaurants and places to eat as we passed by. Rosie’s House was way beyond our expectations, very stylish, exceptionally clean and well maintained. The house had everything you would need even an I phone charger. Rosie’s House is ideally situated close to shops bars and restaurants and the bustling harbour front. Spending time on the roof terrace was a real bonus with views over the harbour and day long suntrap a great place to eat and relax. This is a wonderful house in a fantastic location on a beautiful island. We would recommend Rosie’s House to anyone.
