Communication with Argyro was always very prompt. Her father kindly collected us from the port in Loutraki and drove us to the house, explaining about the village and the property, which was just as described. We wanted peaceful and relaxing surroundings which is what this property provides. A short walk up to the village, but take a torch for the return journey at night. There are several restaurants in the village also a supermarket, cashpoint, a few cafes, with a bakery open 24hrs a day which sell fantastic treats! You do need a hire vehicle staying in Glossa and we used Dream Cars in Loutraki who were great and easy to communicate with. All in all, a wonderful unspoilt island and a very relaxing holiday. We would recommend this property.
Il n’y a rien de luxueux chez Argyro, mais une maison traditionnelle de pêcheurs, refaite avec amour par son père Iannis qui nous a accueilli. Parfait pour lire, se reposer avec la vue sur la mer Egee et bien située pour rayonner vers les plages de l’île, proche de Aghios Ioannis (et l’Eglise du film Mama Mia). Un bel endroit pour vivre la vie sur les îles grecques, les repas dans les tavernes, et profiter de la chaleur du climat et de la gentillesse des grecs.

We had the most wonderful stay in Lavender House. If you’re looking for peace, quiet and beauty then this place is perfect. We were met by Yannis, Argyro’s father, who helped us with car hire, showed us round the well-equipped house, and gave us helpful advice and tips about the island. It’s very easy to spend hours on the terrace enjoying the spectacular view and surrounding nature; butterflies, lizards, cicadas, birdsong, the moon over the sea at night and little owls calling to each other across the valley. :). The house is just a short walk up to Glossa, a lovely small town which has a handful of tavernas, supermarket and bakeries. We also hired a car and visited some of the beautiful beaches and monasteries on the island. (Parking space a minute’s walk from the house). Skopelos is a beautiful island which I would love to explore more and I would very, very happily stay at Lavender House again. Thank you so much Argyro and Yannis.

Lavender House is a perfect place for those seeking peace and quiet – the views out to the coast were spectacular. The house is quite isolated within the abandoned village however it is a short drive /walk to Glossa and the main road from which all beaches are easily accessible. Argyro was a fantastic host greeting us at the house and providing lots of useful tips for the island. The house is well equipped and comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this unique property!

We highly recommend this house. It is very calm, and surrounded by nature with AMAZING views and walking distance from Glossa village. The house was clean and has two beautiful terraces where you will spend most part of your time as it is very relaxing, you can only hear the sound of the birds. Our host Argyro was really very nice. She took the time to meet us at the port and lead us to the house, then she recommended us the best beaches to visit and the best restaurants in the island. We were very pleased with her suggestions! with the house! and with our stay!

Argyro had been very responsive to every question and clarification we requested before our booking! She gave us a very clear description of the location, nearby amenities etc before booking! She also booked a car for us and arranged for it to be at the port for our arrival! Upon our arrival, Argyro welcomed us at the port, took us to the house and gave us a thorough briefing of the beaches, restaurants and bars of the island. Every single reccomendation was totally worth it! Throught the trip, we texted Argyro with questions on places to go etc. She always responded within a couple of hours! The house itself was a heaven of relaxation! Located in a very quaint village, with unobstracted sea views. It was really a delight to wake up to that view! The nearby village of Glossa with very nice options for food and drinks is only a 7 minute walk away. Argyro had arranged for bread, eggs, butter and honey to welcome us to the house. In addition other items such as coffee, salt, pepper, sugar, etc were available for our use. I can not express how amazing our week at Lavender house was! The silence and calm of the landscape was really rejuvanating!

Nous avons été accueillis par Argyro en personne qui après nous avoir fait visiter la maison (adorable) a pris le temps de nous donner les “clés” de l’ile de Skopelos. Grâce à elle le séjour a été des plus agréables. Lavender house est très agréable à vivre et située du bon coté de Skopelos si vous aimez les paysages naturels et les plages.
