Skopelos Island is situated in the western Aegean Sea in the island group called the Sporades. I spent my first part of my stay at Limnonari Beach which is just 8 km from Skopelos town. The first thing I noticed when entering this magical spot was all the green! Pine trees everywhere! This island is known as the green island of Greece, and Limnonari Beach sure does live up to the name!
Sailboats, turquoise water, an authentic Greek taverna and guest rooms all 50 meters from the beach. I have to say the distance from my room to all of this was just perfect and probably if you have children even more perfect!
I had a lovely room with a balcony with a mountain and sea view including olive and fig trees thanks to Alexandra, the owner. I would wake up in the morning and think, I am so lucky to be here. This place is so beautiful. You can also pick your own figs to eat from the tree.
